With learning outcomes taking precedence over counting hours, our middle schools support our students by infusing SAA into the curriculum at each grade level. Students will document their service activities by setting goals and reflecting on the learning outcomes through their classes.
We recognize the impact IB student volunteers have made in our community over the past 26 years and know many of you are passionate about serving in familiar ways. Some may have continued to find or are seeking ways to serve safely and in accordance with local, state, and national guidelines. Structures will be in place to help our students with this process, and these experiences can be included alongside their independent volunteer activities. They will need to complete and record at least 15 hours of service as action activities throughout the year on the SAA log available through your IB coordinator on the school’s website.
Please fill out a form for EACH organization where you volunteer. Multiple dates for the SAME organization may be listed on the SAME form. The form is found on the SAA page.
All Service as Action hours must be digitally turned in by May 8th.
