Important Dates in 2019-2020

Sept. 11-12- Nonwriting SOL testing from summer (as needed)

Sept. 30 - 1/2 day for Students

Oct. 1-4- Work Keys Writing/Reading and TRIO Test(s) – Substitute test for the EOC Writing/Reading SOL – FOR SENIORS still needing the Reading or Writing SOL for Graduation. The Trio is a set of substitute tests for CTE credential for seniors.

Oct. 14 – Student Holiday

Oct. 16 – PSAT – All students in GRADES 9 & 10 (students from GRADE 11 can pay to test – forms due by Sept 13)

Oct. 28 - 1/2 day for Students

Nov. 5 – Election Day / Student Holiday

Nov. 20-22 – Work Keys Test - Substitute test for the EOC Writing or Reading SOLs - only for Seniors

Nov. 27-29 – Thanksgiving Holiday

Dec. 9 - 1/2 day for Students

Dec. 23 – Jan. 3 – WINTER BREAK

Jan. 14 – 16 - Work Keys Writing and TRIO Test(s) – Substitute test for the EOC Writing SOL – FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS still needing the Writing SOL for Graduation. The Trio is a set of substitute tests for CTE credential for seniors.

Jan. 20 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day/Student Holiday

Jan. 29 – 31 – FALL TESTING – Non Writing SOL for any students needing to retake an SOL needed for Graduation.

  • Standard or Advanced Diploma - 5 Verified Credits (Reading, Writing, Math, Science, History)

SOL REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS IN VIRGINIA SCHOOLS (current 11th and 12th grade):

  • Standard Diploma – 6 Verified Credits (Reading, Writing, Math, Science, History, Choice)

  • Advanced Diploma – 9 Verified Credits (Reading, Writing, 2 Math, 2 Science, 2 History, Choice)
