Important Dates in 2018-2019

Sept. 12-13 - Nonwriting SOL testing from summer (as needed)

Sept. 19 - 1/2 day for Students

Sept. 25-28 - Work Keys Test - Substitute test for the EOC Writing or Reading SOLs - only for Seniors

Oct. 8 – Student Holiday

Oct. 10 – PSAT – All students in GRADE 10 ( students from GRADE 9 or 11 can pay to test – forms due by Sept 10)

Oct. 23 & 24 – EOC Writing SOL for Juniors and Seniors still needing the SOL for Graduation

Nov. 6 – Election Day / Student Holiday

Nov. 13-15 – Work Keys Test - Substitute test for the EOC Writing or Reading SOLs - only for Seniors

Nov. 21-23 – Thanksgiving Holiday

Nov. 28-29 - EOC Writing SOL 2nd attempt for Seniors still needing the SOL for Graduation

Dec. 11 – 14 – Midterm Exams

Dec. 20 – Jan. 2 – WINTER BREAK

Jan. 8 – 10 - Work Keys Writing and TRIO Test(s) – Substitute test for the EOC Writing SOL – FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS sill needing the Writing SOL for Graduation. The Trio is a set of substitute tests for CTE credential for seniors.

SOL REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS IN VIRGINIA SCHOOLS (entering in 9th or 10th grade):

  • Standard Diploma – 6 Verified Credits (Reading, Writing, Math, Science, History, Choice)
  • Advanced Diploma – 9 Verified Credits (Reading, Writing, 2 Math, 2 Science, 2 History, Choice)
