Program Information

Are you self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself in a real-life, hands-on medical field environment? Are you interested in earning industry certifications and licenses in the fields of nursing, veterinary science, sports medicine, pharmacy, and emergency services? Do you enjoy working, collaborating, and problem solving with your peers? At the Center for Allied Health and Human Services, researched-based instructional practices and a comprehensive curriculum will provide you with opportunities to develop collaboration, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills while you are preparing for a career in medicine.

Program Highlights:

  • Specialized freshman and sophomore curriculum focusing on anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology that will build a strong medical science foundation

  • Concentrated junior and senior Career and Technical Education course electives in nursing, veterinary science, sports medicine, pharmacy, and emergency services

  • Preparation for industry certifications and licenses in the following areas: Workplace Readiness, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Academy of Sports Medicine Sports Performance Specialist (PES), CPR/First Aid, Lifeguard, Learn to Swim, National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN), Elanco Veterinary Medical Applications Certification, Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

  • Dual credit opportunities for junior and seniors

  • Optional enrollment in summer Polytech courses (0.5 high school elective credit) in nursing, sports medicine, veterinary science, and pharmacy beginning the summer of 2022

  • Practical and hands-on application of comprehensive medical curriculum

  • Work-Based Learning opportunities and internships in the medical field

  • Quarterly field trips to colleges and facilities and guest speakers from various medical fields
