3D Printing

The Instructional Technology department in Henrico County has two types of 3D printers that we can bring to your classroom. We have two UP Mini 2 printers, two UP Mini printers, and one Cube printer. Talk to your ITRT to see how to incorporate 3D printing into your curriculum today.

Utilizing Tinkercad students will create printable 3D designs. Students will be able to take almost any content area and bring it to life while using crucial critical thinking and problem solving skills. Check out the Lessons page for lesson ideas, or fill out the Google Form to share new ideas!

If you need any help with your printer check this trouble shooting guide. We made it focused on the UP Mini and UP Mini 2 printers, but everything in the doc could be applied to other printers.

Different filaments use different temperatures in the 3D printers. If you need help changing the printer temperature in the UP software check this Google Doc for help.
