We have lots of senior failing classes needed for graduation, so this might be an opportune time to connect with their teachers to put a plan in place to make sure that they are on track for graduation. If they are failing, remind them that help sessions are being held in the bus loop commons during AE on 10/5, 10/12 & 10/19.
October 10th : Convocation practice - seniors will report to their first period for attendance and will be called down to the auditorium at 9:15 am. It is important that seniors attend this practice so that they know what is expected the following day during Convocation.
October 11th: Senior Convocation: 10:15 AM in the JR Tucker Auditorium - Parents, guardians, and other family members of JR Tucker seniors are invited to attend. This event is a sort of preview to graduation and is an opportunity for families to see their seniors in their graduation attire for the first time. Tickets are not required, and families are asked to park in the JR Tucker bus loop off St. Martins Lane beginning at 9:30 AM.
Families will be asked to walk through the weapons scanner, so to expediate entry into the building, please avoid bringing any large bags, and any other items that might prove problematic when entering through the scanner.
Convocation Dress Code: Clothing that extends below the gown line should be dark in color. All students are required to wear their graduation gowns. Students wearing pants (no shorts) should wear a collared dress shirt, bowtie, or tie, black or dark dress pants, and black or dark socks and shoes. Dresses should be dress code appropriate. Flip-flops and athletic shoes are not permitted.
