during math night we purchased the game "math swatters- multiplication/division and Addition/subtraction"however you can play a similar game at home.
How to play
Prepare your cards: Create or print out cards with numbers (e.g., 0-100, or answers to specific problems) and place them face up on a table, the floor, or a whiteboard.
Get ready: Give each player (or team) a fly swatter.
Start calling: The caller says a number or a math problem aloud (e.g., "What is
3+53 plus 5
3+5?" or "Find the number 17").
Swat the answer: Players race to be the first one to swat the correct card with their fly swatter.
Score: The player who swats the correct card first can earn a point or keep the card. You can then continue to the next round.
Variations and skill-building
Number recognition: Call out specific numbers for younger children to swat, or show a number of objects (like on a ten-frame) and have them swat the numeral.
Basic facts: Call out addition, subtraction, or multiplication problems and have players swat the correct sum or product. You can also ask questions like "What is 36 divided by 4?".
*use regular deck of cards
