Ryan is a graduate of Hemlock High School, the Univeersity of Michigan and is great friend of the Lockwood STEM Center. Ryan's position with the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification gives him key insights into all major public electrification projects across the state. Expect to learn about emerging technologies and partnerships.
Kyle works with a broad group of community partners and stakeholders to create collaborations with the Regional Chamber’s programs for businesses, entrepreneurs and young people. Consumers Energy Foundation has been a key supporter of the Lockwood STEM Center and we look forward to hearing about CE's commitment to its customers.

The state of Michigan is positioned to be a leader in electrification, emobility and drone technologies, to name a few. A critical enabler of all of these technologies is flexible delivery of electricity. The advancement in electric vehicles, field located robotics, and fleets of drones all introduce new demands on the ability to charge them, both at a central depot but more importantly out where they operate. BarrelCharge is a Michigan-based company that is stepping up to address the needs of mobile electricity, with a unique approach to bringing electricity to the technologies where they need it. Join us in brief educational discussion on trends that can enable advanced mobility technologies in Michigan (hosted by Steve Tarnowsky, CTO of BarrelCharge, and former executive at General Motors).
One of our former FIRST Robotics students, Matt Shaffner, will demonstrate the DJI Argras T50 drone. Your typical consumer drone weighs about one half pound. The Argras weighs 90 pounds and has a payload of 110 lbs. It’s a big boy!
