Ms. Holland's Class Wrote:
Our class weeded the garden today, Wednesday September 12, 2018. We took the weeds out from around our plants so they would have enough room to grow. Weeds choke plants because they take needed water away from the growing vegetable plants. We also weeded to make the garden look beautiful. To keep our garden healthy, we need to weed it regularly.

Did you know that Little Lake Elementary has a garden? We found out that not everyone in our class did, but we are so excited to tell you all about it! We had two helpers to teach us what to do. Mr. Wilson is a teacher and an FFA leader and Mrs. Lanier is a Little Lake parent who has organized the Little Lake garden. We learned about teamwork when we practiced tying knots to create ropes for the garden. We also learned where to walk in the garden. All in all, we learned that gardening is fun and sweaty, but through hard work you can grow many things.
