About Mr. Scott:

Mr. Scott is the counselor for students whose last names start with A-L. His role as a middle school counselor is to help with academic, personal and career goals and needs. He graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Film, went to California State University Dominguez Hills to  earn his MA Ed. in Counseling and earned his Administrative Credential at Long Beach State. Mr. Scott has worked in education for over 25 years; 6 years as a teacher, 2 years as an assistant principal and 17 years as a counselor. Mr. Scott enjoys drumming, hiking, and traveling during his free time. He is married with four children: his kids are 23, 21, 16 and 12. He has worked at high school, middle and elementary school levels. Middle school is his favorite age group and he is excited to be working here at Diamond Valley. 

About Mr. Boenzi:

Mr. Boenzi is the counselor for students whose last names start with M-Z. He attended CSU, Fresno where he earned a BA in History (minor in Ethnic Studies) and Azusa Pacific University where he earned a MA Ed. in Counseling. Mr. Boenzi has been in education for 24 years; 14 years as a teacher (middle and high school) and 10 years as a counselor (K-8). Mr. Boenzi is married and has four children; ages are 22, 21, 19, and 2 (adopted grandson).  He also has 3 dogs (all Cavalier King Charles Spaniels); Ruby, Ellie, and Ollie. He absolutely loves to spend time with his family. His main hobbies are collecting Hot Wheels, cooking, playing video games, and attending car shows.
