Meet Your Counselors

Hello, I am Mrs. Milbauer.  I have been with Hemet Unified for the 16 years as a school counselor.  Before Hemet I worked at San Diego Unified school district.  I am married and have three children and two furry ones.  

 As a counselor, I like to work with students and families and explore different academic options.  I believe that it is crucial to work in collaboration with families and school staff to support students with their individual academic needs.  As a counselor I provide students with support to allow them to reach their academic goals.  It's always a very gratifying moment to see students walk across the stage at the end of their high school journey.

Hi! I am Ms. Newborn and I am one of the school counselors at Academy of Innovation. This school year I work with students in grades 9-12.

I grew up here in Hemet and attended Whittier Elementary school, Acacia Middle School, and graduated from West Valley High School. I began college at Mount San Jacinto Community College and completed my Masters of Arts in Educational Counseling at Azusa Pacific University.

I knew as soon as I graduated from high school I wanted to be a school counselor and work with students in my community to help them set and achieve their goals.
