School Supplies for TK 

Dear Families,

The excitement is building as we near the beginning of a new school year, which is a first for the students in TK.  The first day of school is Monday, August 17!

Please check out supplies that your child will need for school.  Only the supplies listed below are needed for the beginning of school.  Please do not send any additional items to school (markers, pencil sharpeners, etc.)

Student Supply List: 

• Large backpack

• Lunch box/bag

• Reusable water bottle - (water fountains might not be in working order at school)

• Crayons - Crayola 24 pack

• Ticonderoga My First Tri-Write Wood-Cased Pencil, Unsharpened or Sharpened, 2HB, With Erasers, Yellow 

• Glue sticks

• Left handed scissors if needed

• Box of facial tissues

• Supplies for home to complete homework: pencils, crayons, scissors, and glue/glue sticks

Prepare Your Child for the School Day

1. Things to do the night before each school day:  

• set out your child's clothes, shoes, and jacket

• set packback by the door you exit the house

• premake lunches so they are ready to pack in the morning

2. Make sure your child is in bed at a reasonable time the night before.

3. Wake your child up in time to do the following:

• Eat breakfast

• Brush teeth

• Get dressed 

• Brush/comb hair

• Discuss whether your child is bringing a lunch from home or getting a lunch at school.  This avoids a lot of confusion at school

4. Be on time for school.  Students line up at 8:25 and school starts at 8:30.

5. Smile, it's going to be a magnificent and marvelous year!
