Mrs. Fischer's 1st Grade

My name is Lynn Fischer.  I was born and raised in Helena, Montana and moved to Missoula in 1988 where I began school at the University of Montana. This is where I received my teaching degree and endorsement in Special Education.   I have been a teacher at Hellgate Elementary for 28 years!  

I have two sons; Collin and Logan. As a family we all like to explore Montana, ski, hike, boat, paddle and fish together.  My husband’s name is Joe and he is a High School social studies teacher.  A few years ago I tried something new called Dragon Boat Racing and I am a paddler for the Silver Lining Montana Dragon Boat racing and paddling team.  We race other teams from all over the country in big long boats called Dragon Boats.  I also voyage and race outrigger canoes in Hawaii and Montana.   Oh! I almost forgot…I also have 2 dogs, Addie and Ollie.  I was 7 years old when I decided I wanted to be a teacher and with hard work and determination I achieved my goal and I have loved every moment!
