Mr. Kaleva's 6th Grade Classroom 

Hello 6th graders and families! I am very excited to work with each and every one of you. This will be my third full year here at Hellgate, I student taught in the 6th grade as well for the '21-22 school year. 

I graduated from Montana State University (Go Cats) with a BA in Elementary Education K-8. I was raised here in Missoula, Montana, and attended Loyola Sacred Heart High School. After receiving my bachelor's in education, I finally made my decision to come back and call Missoula my home! I take my job as an educator very seriously. I strive to tailor my teaching to each of my student's individual needs. I strive to create a positive, inclusive, and hands-on learning environment for all students.  

Outside of school, I enjoy music, specifically guitar! I’ve been in a couple of bands and occasionally give lessons to anyone, regardless of skill level! In my free time, I enjoy things like hiking, hockey, basketball, chess, video games, and much more!
