• A grant provided for a new position at Hellgate Elementary and Middle School: an AgCorps service member who will be teaching and managing the garden.

• Students planted seeds and learned about how food is grown.

• We had our first harvest from the garden!

• Classes came to the garden to learn outside, help weed, harvest, and plant. 

It's been a busy fall! Here's a quick recap: 

• Mr. Lind's Industrial Arts students finished building all the garden beds! Amazing work, and so many thanks for all the time and effort. 

• Benches were donated by Scott Armstrong-they look great! 

• Mr. Wimett brought in some huge log rounds from the summer wind storm to use for tables-such a great use of resources and incorporation of Missoula history

• ReStyle Clothing Exchange donated $5,000! Stay tuned for our fencing installation

• ACE Garden Place provided a very generous discount on soil, and Joe came to demonstrate his special soil combo-we will be ordering more!
