Try-Outs and Participation

Your child may have to go through a Try-Out process, but all students that Try-Out are assigned a team. Schedules will be given to the student by their coaches after they have been assigned to a team. The coach will get the practice and game schedules to the players once finalized. 

Activity Fee

The cost to participate is $75 per student per year. Students may participate in multiple activities but only pay the $75 activity fee once. If this cost is limiting your student's ability to participate, please contact Activities Director Taylor Nordby at tnordby@hellgatesd4.k12.mt.us, Sarah Dennis at the building #4 office sdennis@hellgatesd4.k12.mt.us, or Angie Hill at the building #3 office ahill@hellgatesd4.k12.mt.us.  

Infinite Campus & Academic Eligibility

For a student-athlete to be eligible for athletics they may not have more than one F. If a student-athlete has more than one F they will sit out until their grades are brought up to no more than one F. You are always able to review your student's performance, grades, and access your student's grade progress via work submitted and see student work outstanding on Infinite Campus. If you have concerns regarding student performance and behavioral issues, please feel free to contact your student's teachers via email through IC. If you have not set up your parent portal for Infinite Campus, please contact the office. We are happy to assist you in using this helpful tool!
