Class Overview
Throughout this course, students will practice thinking and working like scientists. In fact, many will come to realize that science is simply how people know and interact with our surroundings, and we are acting and thinking scientifically all the time. Within the units in this general science course, students will engage in exploratory learning activities, practice real-world problem solving, and work on understanding current events in science.

Hello middle school students and families! I teach 7th and 8th grade science here at Hellgate and look forward to a fun year of science!
A little about me:
I was born and raised in Montana, but have traveled and lived in many different places. I graduated from the University of Montana in 2008, and returned to Montana State University to earn a teaching degree in 2014. I am proud to say I'm currently in my 13th year of teaching! In 2022 I completed my Masters of Science in Science Education at Montana State University.
In my free time, I enjoy mountain biking, skiing, trail running, reading, traveling, and good coffee. I also help manage the school garden and look forward to incorporating the garden space into science lessons. Please check out the website linked above and reach out if you have questions or would like to help!
Please feel free to contact me at any time throughout the year.
