Hello, and welcome!

Students and parents know me as Coach Q, and I am honored to serve as the dance instructor at my alma mater, Trinity High School. This is my fifth year at Trinity, and I have been teaching dance throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex for the past nine years. Prior to joining Trinity, I had the privilege of teaching at Doubletake Dance Studio (2017–2026) and serving as the director of the Heritage Highsteppers Dance Team at Heritage Middle School (2017–2020).

Dance has been a part of my life since I was four years old. While hip-hop is my favorite style, I also enjoy contemporary, tap, and clogging. I believe dance is for everyone and strive to create an environment where every student feels welcomed, challenged, and inspired to grow.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Dance from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in Psychological Science from Texas Woman’s University. My background in psychology has shaped my teaching philosophy by reinforcing the connection between mental and physical performance. I believe confidence is developed through encouragement, discipline, and perseverance, and my goal is to help every student grow as both a dancer and an individual.

Students enrolled in dance also have the opportunity to prepare for auditions for the Troy-Anns Drill Team. The Troy-Anns proudly represent Trinity High School and the HEB community through performances at football games, pep rallies, school events, and community celebrations. Recognizable in their signature white boots and red sequin hats, they are a proud tradition of Trojan spirit.

Drill Team members train in jazz, hip-hop, kick, and contemporary/lyrical dance while developing leadership, teamwork, accountability, and school pride. Known as the Sweethearts of Trinity High School, the Troy-Anns are committed to excellence both on and off the field.
