Drill Team, Dance 1, Dance 2, Dance 3, P.E Dance
Hello!
Students and parents call me Coach Q, and I am thrilled to be teaching dance at my alma mater, Trinity High School! This is my fourth year at Trinity, and I’ve been teaching dance across the metroplex for the past eight years. I’ve had the privilege of working with students at Doubletake Dance Studio (2017–2025) and Heritage Middle School, where I served as the director for the Heritage Highsteppers Dance Team (2017–2020).
I’ve been dancing since the age of four, and while Hip-Hop is my favorite style, I also have a deep love for contemporary, tap, and clogging. I truly believe that anyone can and should dance!
I hold a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Dance from Texas Tech University, and a M.S. in Psychological Science from Texas Woman’s University. Through my background in psychology and art appreciation, I’ve come to believe that dance, like other sports and art forms, is just as much mental as it is physical. My goal is to help every student build confidence within themselves so they can shine confidently on stage!
Students who are interested will also have the opportunity to prepare for Troy-Anns Drill Team tryouts at the end of the class. The Troy-Anns proudly represent Trinity High School and the HEB community, performing at pep rallies, community events, and of course, under the Friday Night Lights at Trojan football games in their iconic white boots and red sequin hats.
Drill Team members focus on jazz, hip-hop, kick, and contemporary/lyrical dance styles. Known as the sweethearts of Trinity High School, the Troy-Anns uphold a rigorous constitution of excellence, embodying the best of Trojan spirit and pride.
