Health/Accelerated Health
Hello, my name is Coach Smith and this is my 25th year here at Trinity High School as a health teacher and the girl's gymnastics coach. I grew up in the HEB community; I attended Wilshire, Harwood and graduated from Trinity. Needless to say, the phrase "Once a Trojan, Always a Trojan" is very true for me. I coached HEB gymnastics program as I went through college at TCJC and The University of North Texas, and currently am in charge of the gymnastics program at Pennington.

If any student is in the need of tutorials or needs to make up work, they can come to my classroom, P219, before school. I have gymnastics practice in the afternoons, so I am not available after school.
We have a great new curriculum and textbook for health. In my class we cover physical, mental, and social health. We talk about many aspects of life at all ages that can influence choices that affect your health. Not only do we discuss nutrition and exercise, but we also discuss the mental side of health. We talk about how technology can influence all sides of health and how it has changed the wellness of our world. This is the most important class in high school, you need it everyday for the rest of your life.
