Hola! My name is Dr. Silverio but my students call me Sra. Silverio. This is my sixth year in HEB ISD and my sixth too in Euless Junior High. Previously I worked for three years in a charter school; this will be my 9th year teaching Spanish. I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, as well before coming to Texas I leaved 8 years in Puerto Rico, my husband is from there, we have a nine years old kid and a five years old one, we have been in Texas for 13 years. I graduated from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in Dominican Republic. My goal is to introduce the language to the students and by the end of the year, he/she be able to converse in basic Spanish. ¡Hola! Mi nombre es la Sra. Silverio y asi me llaman mis estudiantes. Este es mi sexto año en el distrito de HEB ISD y mi sexto tambien en Euless Junior High. Previamente trabaje port res años en una escuela charter, este sería mi noveno año ensenando español. Yo naci y me crie en la Republica Dominicana, tambien antes de llegar a Texas vivi 8 anos en Puerto Rico, mi esposo es Puertoriqueño, tenemos dos niños uno de nueve años y uno de cinco años, y ya tenemos 12 años en Texas. Me gradue de Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra en la Republica Doinicana. Mi meta es intoducir idioma espanol a mis estudiantes y que al final del ano escolar el/ella pueda conversar en espanol básico. Homework and Projects
I do not assign homework in a regular basis, if it is assigned a specific day it will be posted in the calendar. The projects are to be completed in class; as well, they will be posted in the calendar in case there is one that the student has to do at home.

Non-negotiable Rules for Using Electronic Devices in the Classroom.
Cell phones use is prohibited during school.
EVERY student are expected to keep their cell phone in their backpack. Failure to do so may result on taken by the teacher and turn in to the office.
Using their device for anything not specifically instructed by me will result in a detention and loss of device privilege.
Students should be aware that the use of translation devices and/or internet translation sites are prohibited in most cases. While they can be useful at times, reliance on those resources does not allow students to develop their own language skills.
