Alex Slazar (Spanish Teacher) 

Hi, I am Alex Salazar, Language Instructor at Hurst Junior High. With a decade of teaching experience, eight of which have been dedicated to nurturing young minds here at HEB ISD, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my role. 

My journey in education is fueled by a profound passion, a passion that led me to pursue a Master's Degree in Modern Languages. This fervor drives me to inspire and empower my students every day. 

Languages are the keys that open many doors in every social, economic, and public aspect of societies. 

It's crucial to understand that culture and language are inseparable. Culture is the soul of a language, and without it, the language loses its essence and depth. 

My students developed a strong connection between language and culture, understanding how both are intertwined, which provided them with the cultural awareness vital for global competence.
