Greetings Trojan Nation,
My name is Ronald Pugh, and I am the proud principal of Trinity High School. I am currently serving my 19th year in education, all at the high school level. As a classroom teacher, I taught biology, chemistry, physics, and anatomy & physiology. I also coached high school football, basketball, and girls' track. As a school administrator, I served as an assistant principal at Cedar Hill High School in Cedar Hill ISD, as an associate principal at Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield ISD, and as the principal of Everman High School in Everman ISD.
I am a product of public education. I attended H. Grady Spruce High School in Dallas ISD. I went on to attend Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, where I played football, was elected the Student Government Association (SGA) Vice President, and became a member of the greatest fraternity in the world, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
I am a proud husband of 29 years to Melinda Pugh, who has been my greatest supporter and cheerleader. I am a proud father to Jasmine, Taylor, and Ronald II. I am an incredibly proud PaPa to Ryleigh, my granddaughter. For those who know, the love for a grandchild is a different kind of love.
Education is my calling, not my job. My goal is to positively impact the world through education, one student and one teacher at a time. I believe in turning the periods that people try to put on the lives of our students into commas. I encourage my students not to let anyone cast limitations on what they can accomplish or become. Trinity High School is a place of excellence, and we intend to continue that excellence by exhibiting “Excellence, Everywhere, Everyday.”
