My name is Mr. Pettit, and this is my first year at Hurst Junior High. I'm very excited to join this community and share my passion for literature with my students! I want my classroom to be a place where all students feel welcome and safe, physically and academically. I believe that the most learning takes place when students take risks and support each other academically and personally. Besides reading, I love writing music and poetry.
