Welcome to my classroom website. This is my 19th year to teach in Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD and my 9th year at Buinger CTE Academy. This is an amazing school and I am so happy to be here. I grew up in Euless and Bedford attending HEB Schools from 1st through 12th grade.

I attended college at Texas A&M University in College Station where I studied Biomedical Science for two years before changing majors to Community Health Education. After receiving my BS, I stayed at A&M for my MS in Health (Community Health Option).  I started my teaching career as a Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University. Shortly after finishing my Masters degree, I substituted in HEB for one semester before moving with my husband to Atlanta, Georgia where I was a Regional Manager for Special Olympics Georgia.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two years working for Special Olympics. After having my son, we moved back to Texas and I went back to teaching. Over the course of 10 years I taught Biology, Environmental Systems, Professional Communications, and Health. I also served as the campus testing facilitator for the three years prior to moving to Buinger CTE Academy.

My husband and two children enjoy vacationing in the mountains and at the beach. We don't always make it to both locations each year, but we try!
