Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is a fantasy role playing game (RPG) in which players create characters and embark on adventures. Dungeons and Dragons takes many traditional elements from the fantasy genre (popularized by J. R. R. Tolkein's Lord of the Rings, C. S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter and George R. R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire) to provide players a stage on which they create. The D&D official website describes the game with reference to one of the oldest human traditions: storytelling. 'The core of D&D is storytelling. You and your friends tell a story together, guiding your heroes through quests for treasure, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, courtly intrigue and much more.'
The goal is to have a fun time journeying through adventures that Dungeons & Dragons can provide. The club encourages students to coordinate and plan as a team. It is also an effective way to socialize.
Meetings will be held Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:45. Any changes to this schedule will be communicated via Remind.
