About Me:
After 12 years teaching science, I’m thrilled to start this new chapter in my teaching career at Trinity High School.
My Science journey started in hospital labs, where I ran chemistries on, well, all the bodily fluids. After, I worked in the TWU genetics lab amplifying yeast mitochondrial DNA using PCR techniques, as well as in the microbiology lab making agar plates for course labs. My next science adventure led me to ponds and lakes to study the effects of nitrogen on non-native aquatic plants for the Army Corp of Engineers. There I taught high school interns how to record plant biomass and run the spectrometer, and that is when I decided teaching science would be my life-long career.
I am so excited to bring my science enthusiasm and experiences into a new classroom this year. I know it will be a great year!
