Hello and welcome! I am thrilled to be starting my third year in education, following two transformative years as part of the Special Education team at BME. This year, I’m excited to join the Red Raider family where I’ll be teaching 7th Grade Health, 9th Grade Health, and 9th Grade Speech, as well as serving as one of the Student Council sponsors.

Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, I spent nearly a decade living in Omaha, Nebraska before finally returning to Texas in 2021. It was then that I took the opportunity to complete my degree and pursue my passion for education-- proof that it's never too late to chase your dreams! Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud mom to my daughter and our variety of animals, enthusiastic home cook and baker, and a loyal (if endlessly hopeful) Dallas Cowboys fan. 

I look forward to an incredible school year and I am honored to be part of this supportive and inspiring community. Hurst is First!
