Angi Magaña

I hold a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (English, history, and political science) and two masters degrees (secondary education and information & library science).

I'm the librarian at Hurst Junior High! I taught English, journalism & yearbook at HJH and then LD Bell.

I was the librarian at Richland High School for 14 years, and now I'm back in HEB where I'm from and where I live!

My goal is to promote literacy and build life long learners as I support & serve the students and staff of Hurst Junior High.

I'm proud to work alongside several former students!

I knew Mrs. Crumby for a long time since she was the librarian at my kids' school before she came to Hurst!

Library information

The library is located on the second floor at Hurst Junior High.

It is open from 7:45am - 3:45pm on school days, but will stay open later for programs periodically.

Students scan IDs to check in each time they visit the library.

Students are able to check-out up to 2 books at a time for up to 6 weeks.
