L.D. Bell Theatre Director

Mrs. Harris has taught professional communication, technical theatre, and Theatre 1-4 at L.D. Bell High School for 15 years. Before she came to BHS she taught middle school theatre in the Houston area where she won first place each year at the annual UIL One-Act Play Festival.

Over the past 15 years, Mrs. Harris and her students have had many success stories. From Betty Buckley and Dallas Summer Musical nominations in acting and technical theatre to advancing to District, Bi-District, and Area competitions for UIL One-Act Play. Many students have qualified for Nationals (International Thespian Festival) and have ranked Superior in their performance category. Students have auditioned for colleges with great success with callbacks and scholarship offers.

Mrs. Harris believes in the power of theatre and every students' need for acceptance. Her philosophy is to create an educational home away from home for students each and every year at L.D. Bell High School. She believes that we never stop learning and has faith that students will enjoy the art of theatre as much as she does.

She is super excited to host this camp this year!
