Throughout the school year all students new to our district, all 7th grade students and all 9th grade students will receive a health screening as required by State Law.
SCREENING SCHEDULE:
7TH GRADE: Screening will be completed during the fall semester and includes vision, hearing, Acanthosis Nigricans, height, weight and blood pressure.
8th GRADE: Only 8th grade students new to the district will be screened. Screenings include vision, hearing, Acanthosis Nigricans, height, weight and blood pressure.
9th GRADE: Screening will be completed during the spring semester and includes spinal evaluation, height, weight, and blood pressure. 9th graders new to the district will also be screened for vision and hearing.
Parents will be notified of any results requiring further evaluation or treatment. Please submit a copy of the referral and any physician findings or recommendations. It is our desire that all students are healthy and capable of learning to their maximum potential for educational success.
