Grading Policy:

50% Tests

50% Daily (Class work, notes, homework, quizzes, daily warm-ups) 

Re-test Policy:

A student who scores below a 70 on a test may choose to re-take the test (Not a 6 weeks or Semester) for a re-test grade of no higher than 70% of their total earned, re-take grade. This must be done before or after school, and it is the student’s responsibility to schedule a time with Mr. Hamby.

Late Work:

EJH does not accept any late work (School wide policy). Homework is due at the beginning of class and no other time. Cheating will not be tolerated and will result in a ‘zero’ for that assignment.

Make-up Work:

It is the student’s responsibility to check the class calendar and class binder to see what was missed and pick up assignments from the 'Absent' wall file. These must be completed and turned in to Coach Hamby. Absent students have 1 day for every day absent to take care of absent work.

Student Expectations

Students will never speak when the instructor is speaking.

Students will raise hand and wait until instructor calls upon them.

Students will entire the classroom in a quiet respectful manner prepared to work and learn.

Students will be in assigned seat, with their assignment for the day, before the tardy bell rings or student is counted tardy.

All students will have a pen, pencil and paper, as well as their binder.

Students will start their warm up silently.

Pay attention, follow directions and participate when appropriate.

Give your best effort every day.

Talk only at times appropriate and on topic.
