Credit Recovery

1. Students may choose to work asynchronously or in-person as needed outside of the mandatory attendance dates. A core subject teacher will be available in person from 3:40-5:00 on the dates listed below.

2. Important Dates for all students:

• The first day of each course is a mandatory in-person day.

• Mid point of each window- 50% of coursework must be completed at 70% accuracy - if not, student will be required to attend in person for the remaining dates - 1 absence from the remaining mandatory dates will result in loss of credit with no refund - (2 tardies count as an absence). 

Midpoint Dates:

Algebra: January 20

English: February 18

Biology: March 23

World Geography: April 23

• Last day of Recovery, final exam day - mandatory in-person day. 

3. When attending in-person guidelines:

• Students must follow the same discipline rules as a regular school day.  Students can be dismissed for behavioral issues.  No refunds issued.

• Credit recovery will last from 3:40 - 5:00 - students must stay the entire time.

4. No credit, or refund, will be awarded if a student does not complete at least 75% of the course with a relative grade of 70 or higher.  The student will have to repeat the course either through summer school or 10th grade to meet graduation requirements.

5. The 0.5 credits earned in credit recovery will be included in earned credits for 9th grade.  Students must earn a minimum of 5 credits to promote to 10th grade.

 Cost:  $20.00 - non-refundable - cash or online payment. (Tuition for traditional summer school is $125.00 per class.) 

 Payment due on or by the last day of class to Ms. Love (counseling office) in the form of cash or online.
