Welcome to Trinity Theatre! I’m Ms. Hodges, the Lead Director for Trinity Theatre, and I am excited to begin my 4th year at Trinity High School and my 10th year teaching theatre.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with an emphasis in Education from Angelo State University and later returned to ASU to earn my Master’s in Professional Counseling. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the privilege of directing successful theatre programs at the 2A and 3A UIL One-Act Play levels. One of the highlights of my career was making my first appearance at the UIL One-Act Play State Meet with The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane at Bangs High School.
During my time at Trinity, I am especially proud to have brought musicals back to the Trinity stage. Over the past three years, our musicals have continued to grow and have developed into full Fine Arts collaborations, bringing together students and directors from across the Fine Arts programs. Seeing these productions grow into a celebration of the talent, creativity, and teamwork found throughout Trinity has been one of the most rewarding parts of leading this program.
I believe theatre is about so much more than what happens onstage. It teaches students to communicate, collaborate, take risks, solve problems, and believe in themselves. My goal is to create a theatre program where students feel challenged, supported, and proud of the work they create together.
At Trinity Theatre, we work hard, dream big, support one another, and strive for excellence both on and off the stage. I am incredibly excited about what this year's students will accomplish and can't wait to make this our best season yet!
