About Me: This will be my 13th year teaching at Hurst Junior High and my 17th year of teaching overall. I teach AP Human Geography, Advanced Academics World Geography and World Geography. In all of my classes I strive for a cooperative learning environment in which the students take responsibility and initiative with regard to their own learning. When I do my job AND the students come prepared for class it creates an engaging classroom that we can all enjoy.
Geography is so much more than maps! I love seeing students bring their own culture and experiences to the classroom as we learn about the world, the people in it and how they impact each other. This classroom will be utilizing sensitive topics that require respect. I am looking forward to another great year at Hurst Junior High.
