Bedford Junior High Theatre is a special opportunity offered to students through HEB ISD's Schools of Choice program. Students develop acting and performance skills, make connections to technical production, directing, writing, and more. After junior high, students can continue their study in the theatre programs at LD Bell High School.

Students who are interested in theatre, production, performance, and design, are encouraged to audition for our advanced theatre courses!

INCOMING 7TH GRADERS

Incoming 7th graders now have the opportunity to audition for our new Junior Varsity Troupe class! This is an advanced section of Beginning Theatre for students who will learn the basics of theatre through in-class productions.

8TH GRADERS

Students entering 8th grade who are interested in acting /performance or technical design can audition for the opportunity to be placed in JV Troupe, Production, or Technical Theatre. JV Troupe is an advanced section of JH Theatre, where students who are interested in honing their performance and design skills can learn through in class productions. Production is our competition acting class, where students with prior acting experience are able to hone their craft and compete on behalf of the Bedford Theatre Troupe. Technical Theatre is our competition design class, where students with prior design experience .

9TH GRADERS

Students entering 9th grade who are interested in acting/ performance or technical design can audition for the opportunity to be placed in Production or Technical Theatre.

One-Act Play Competition

For the 4th year in a row, Bedford Theatre takes first place at the 2025 LDB One Act Play Festival competition with their production of Pearl by Mandy Conner
