The AP Human Geography course introduces students to the systematic study of patterns and processes that have shaped human understanding, alteration and use of Earth's surface. Students will employ spatial concepts and landscape analysis to examine human socioeconomic organization and its environmental consequences. Students will also become familiar with the methods and tools geographers use in their research and application.
The course is divided into 7 units of study:
Geography: Its Nature and Perspectives
Population
Cultural Patterns and Processes
Political Organization of Space
Agricultural and Rural Land Use
Industrialization and Economic Development
Cities and Urban Land Use
Test:
The test is divided into two sections:
Multiple Choice Questions: 60 questions in 1 hour. Worth 50% of Exam
Free Response Questions: 3 questions in 1 hour and 15 minutes. Worth 50% of Exam
