My name is Andrea Tietjen. I am originally from Wisconsin, but Texas is where I call home. I hold Bachelors degrees in Biology and Ancient Studies from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. I am married to my wonderful husband, who also teaches at L.D. Bell. I have two boys who love baseball, Legos, and playing video games!
I have been teaching since 2006, in HEB ISD since 2008, and have been at L.D. Bell High School since 2012. I love L.D. Bell and the students I teach. My students become my "kids" and will always have a home in my classroom!
My philosophy is that all students can learn and have the desire to succeed. I treat all of my students as individuals and hold each one to the highest standard possible. My goal is to teach them to love learning and to be prepared with the knowledge and grit that will serve them in any profession they choose to pursue.
