Welcome to my web page, my name is Caren Lawrence and I teach 7th grade science here at Bedford Jr. High.  I am also the advisor for Student Council. 

This is my 19th year in education and I am the science department chair.  I was named outstanding Biology Teacher in Texas for 2016.  I have two beautiful children and a loving husband who works in the district as the MARC program coordinator.  

I have a Master’s in Education from the University of Texas in Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas A&M in Commerce.  

I think it is very important to continue to learn and stay current in my field of study.  In order to do this, I am a member of Texas Association of Biology Teachers (TABT) and Science Teachers Association of Texas (STAT).  I enjoy being a teacher and I love working here at Bedford Jr. High.  I am so glad I have the opportunity to teach your child.
