About Me

I love my experiences getting to know my students and athletes. I believe in getting out of the classroom as much as possible and learning in different environments. I believe reading is so much more than words on a page. Students need positive experiences and healthy relationships in order to understand references in the novels we read, which, I believe, is the first step of comprehension. As every other teacher at BJH, I live for those "aha!" moments students have, but believe that so much learning happens between the big moments.  Whether it's in my class or something educational that they connected to their 'real life' world, I love seeing them grow. I look forward to those moments with your child!
