How Do You Know When You Need Help?
Mental health issues can manifest with many different symptoms. Maybe you find yourself more irritable and easily annoyed. Are you suddenly worrying about everything? Some people simply cannot sleep or wake up all through the night and do not feel rested the next morning. Has your appetite changed and you find yourself either overeating or not eating at all? You may have a feeling of being disconnected from your normal activities and those you love. Mental illness does not always show up with textbook symptoms and many of these symptoms overlap with other disorders and illnesses. Many people assume they cannot be depressed because they have "no reason to be". It just isn't that simple. Depression can affect anyone at anytime. Anxiety can affect anyone at anytime. You do not have to suffer. Your mental health matters.
How Do You Know if Your Symptoms are Related to a Mental Health Issue or Medical Issue?
Our provider is able to order a wide variety of diagnostic testing to rule out medical conditions that often mimic mental health disorders. We have partnered with Gravity Diagnostics to make accessing your lab work simple and fast. We offer Urine Drug Screening, Oral Toxicology Swabs, STI testing, Lab work (blood work), as well as a variety of upper respiratory swabs including Influenza, RSV, and COVID-19 testing. We also have a partnership with LabCorp if you live out of area and want to have your diagnostic testing completed there. We strive to get you the answers you need to feel better. If your evaluation and/or diagnostic testing show that you have a medical condition you will be referred to your Primary Care Provider. If you do not have one we will help you find a provider that is accepting new patients. Our goal to make sure YOU are taken care of. That is the patient first philosophy.
