Lodging and Meals

This is a photo of the "Studio House" and shows a typical setting at the TAC.

This is a typical room.

After considering all lodging possibilities in the area, we recommend staying at the Thomas the Apostle Retreat Center (TAC) in Cody, Wyoming. It features shared rooms in three large houses. Its simply furnished shared rooms are $80/night, while most hotels in Cody cost more than $280/night during the summer tourist season. Click [here] to see tentative floorplans. More details coming soon! The workshop will provide basic bus transportation for the sessions.

"Whether you are looking for a quiet respite during your travels through the Yellowstone region, seeking a peaceful learning environment connected to nature, or needing spacious conference facilities, TAC is available to the public year round for groups and individuals." (from the TAC website: https://tacwyoming.diowy.org/index.html)

Since many of our meetings will be at the retreat center, those who opt to stay off-site will have to consider their own transportation to the TAC.

Note from TAC: We are a fully vaccinated staff. In an attempt to keep guests' quiet and work time from being interrupted, no telephones or televisions are available in the guest houses. Cellular phone service is readily available throughout the facilities and wireless Internet service is available in all buildings.

Meals

A locally sourced healthy breakfast and lunch for a reasonable price will be available through pre-order at the TAC. There will be two group dinners and the rest are "on your own" in Cody and there is a kitchen available at the Center. To see a sample menu with prices click [here. ]
