Competition

🏅 Our students will have an opportunity to compete:

• Regionals (compete against other charter schools). This occurs in March. Exact dates are not yet determined.

***ALL competitions are virtual, and students can win medals as individuals and as a team. 

🏆 Preparing for the Competition

During class time, the students will be preparing to handle the tasks at the competition. If there is an area where the students do not want to compete in, they can opt out of that section. For instance, the student wants to do the subject tests but not the speech section. 

For each competition, students will:

• Take tests for each subject area (Social Science, Science, Fine Arts, Literature, and Math)

• Complete a Timed Essay (Students will be given 3 prompts and will choose 1 to write an essay on.) They have 40 minutes to complete the essay. The prompts will be related to the novel we read.
