Loretta Shaw
Hello! It is my pleasure to teach the elementary Gifted Resource classes in Heard County. I grew up in Centralhatchee where I attended Centralhatchee Elementary for grades 1-8. I am a 1983 graduate of Heard County High School.
After graduating from HHS, I attended West Georgia College where I earned a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. In 1992, I once again graduated from The State University of West Georgia with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2002, I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2004 I earned a National Board Teaching certificate from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
I began my career in education in 1986 at Heard County Elementary. I taught 4th grade for over 20 years before moving to the Gifted Resource class. I began teaching Gifted Resource or HEP (Heard Enrichment Program) in 2008.
