Entry Criteria: 5 GCSE grades 9-5, including English and Mathematics, and a GCSE grade 5 in Spanish from higher tier.

Key Information

Throughout the two year course you will study aspects of the society where the language is spoken, including current trends and issues, artistic culture and aspects of political life through the foreign language medium.

Assessment will be at the end of Year 13:

Paper 1: Listening, reading and writing

Written exam: 2 hours 30 minutes, 50% of A Level

Paper 2: Writing study of one text and one film or two texts

Written exam: 2 hours 20% of A Level

Paper 3: Speaking including presentation of individual research project

Oral exam: 20 minutes, 30% of A Level
