Entry Criteria: 5 GCSE grades 9-5, including English and Mathematics. One level 2 pass in a music qualification is required. Those without a level 2 music qualification but with musical experience will be considered.

Students will develop their technical, performance and theoretical skills and knowledge of music.
Learners choose one optional unit which will be chosen early on in the course as per the individual needs of the group. These have been designed to support progression to more specialist music courses in higher education and to link with relevant occupational areas, such as:

• improvising music
• solo performance
