Communications Technology (or Comm Tech) examines communications technology from a media perspective. Students will develop knowledge and skills as they design and produce media projects in the areas of live, recorded, and graphic communications.
These areas may include:
TV, video, and movie production;
Print and graphic communications;
Animation
Photography;
Broadcast journalism; and
Interactive new media.
We’ll be learning about the pre-production process; how to build and lead a team to create your vision. Screenplay development, scouting, shot lists and much more. We’ll practice the skills necessary in the production phase of video production; how to use the equipment, types of shots, camera support, lighting, audio recording and many others.
We’ll then be using Adobe Premiere Pro CC in post-production to polish your raw footage into the final product.
We’ll be using Adobe PhotoshopCC, Illustrator CC, After EffectsCC to create marketing materials and other content for Hayden's Twitter and Instagram.
