Accessing the School

Kindergarten students will enter the building from their individual classroom doors within the outdoor play area. Parents who require access to the building should enter at the front of the school and sign in at the main office.

Students who need to leave school early should be picked up at the main office and signed out by a parent or legal guardian.

Nutrition Breaks
Nutrition Breaks
Dr. David R. Williams P.S. (DDW) has two nutrition breaks each day where your child will be able to have snacks and lunch. All schools in the Halton District School Board are peanut and tree-nut free schools. Please do not send meals or snacks that contain nuts, including peanut butter, other nut butters, and Nutella spread.

Bus Information
Bus Information
We encourage walking to and from school whenever possible.
The bus lane cannot be used for drop off or pick ups as it is our fire access route and cars will be ticketed.
Some students will be eligible for bus transportation to get to and from school. To learn more or see if your child is eligible, please visit Halton Transportation Services. Some before and after school programs also use bus or van transportation. If you know that your child will take the bus to school, you can let your child's teacher know on the First Week Information form or on the first day of school.

What learning looks like in Kindergarten!
At Dr. David R. Williams, we have two enclosed play areas for all of our Kindergarten students to use. There are natural features such as trees, seating logs, a sand play area, a bicycle track, and a chalk board wall which make these outdoor spaces such a wonderful place to learn and grow!
