Athletic Council

Athletic Council is a student-led group dedicated to promoting school spirit, organizing sports events and making athletics more inclusive for everyone. We encourage all students – new or returning, athlete or not – to get involved, share ideas, and help shape the future of athletics at our school. Join us for meetings every Wednesday (some exceptions) during lunch in Room 106. Let's work together to make this year exciting and memorable for our athletic community! 

LOOKING TO GET INVOLVED ?

We are currently looking for members to join or general Athletic Council!

These member positions are designed to....

• Promote and raise awareness for the benefits of participation in all aspects of BCHS athletics including sports teams, intramural programs and athletic events throughout the year.

• Provide students the opportunity to voice concerns and have an input with regard to programming and overall operation of the BCHS Athletic Council.

If you are interested in representing the Athletics Council as a general member, attend our first Council Meeting on Wednesday, September 10 in room 106 or email athleticsrep@gmail.com to express your interest in joining the council if you are unable to make this meeting.

Here are some potential responsibilities..

• Attend and participate in the weekly Athletic Council meetings  every Wednesday in Room 106

• Contribute new event ideas and current event suggestions either directly to executive members or the Contact Us google form 

• Volunteer for scorekeeping responsibilities at varying sports games throughout the year

• Volunteer for other intiatives throughout the school year

• Do research for, and write papers for the Trojan Newsletter to be posted on the Burlington Central Athletics Website
