Some of you played Breakout (Escape room) games with me last year. BreakoutEdu is hosting a live game everyday at 2pm. The past games are available too (I enjoyed the one on authors - of course!). Unfortunately, we can't win the prizes, but the games are fun!

Take a look at these authors doing read alouds of their books. In particular, Kenneth Oppel - Silverwing and Joel Sutherland - Haunted Canada, but there are lots to choose from and more posted every day. You'll even find some interesting books for younger siblings!
Check out these stories from Scholastic! A different set of stories for every day of the week and neat extension activities too! I really liked the story on Alcatraz and can't wait to check out the Google Earth virtual tour!
My kids and I had fun with this hand art activity. We turned our art into postcards and mailed them to friends! You can see some photos of our work here too!
Our Forest of Reading continues! You can find the Red Maple and Yellow Cedar books online at the Burlington Public Library or through our Burlington Central catalogue.
