Anchors in resilient communities: Increasing community health, wealth, and resilience through market and institutional transformation
Health systems are increasingly embracing their roles as “anchor institutions”. Utilizing a powerful combination of procurement and investments, health care is exploring ways to build local, equitable food economies, and foster resilient communities. This webinar, hosted by the Wallace Center, will cover the playbook and the research behind it. Additionally, the Anchors in Resilient Communities and its first collaborative project, MyCultiver, will be described as examples of how anchors are working together with the community — building robust regional food systems that can increase community health, wealth, and climate resilience in the Bay Area.
