Founded in 2014 in Jersey City, Kyle Marshall Choreography (KMC) is a company that sees the dancing body as a container of history, an igniter of social reform, and a site of celebration. KMC returns to County Prep High School for an evening of 3 dances Jersey City on February 9th, 7:30p. On the program, King (2018), a solo for Kyle Marshall, set Martin Luther King Jr.'s final speech, I've Been to the Mountaintop. Onyx- excerpt (2022), a digs into the origins of "Rock and Roll" revealing the Black and Brown people whose sounds, performances and personalities created this revolutionary genre and Rise (2021) a uplifting dance for four with live music by Cal Fish that holds the joy dancing brings to our lives. Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 artists, $5 students (18 or under)
